Purpose and Scope
West Virginia records can be public while still being hard to locate. For Grant County, PHRJ and the WVDCR Offender Information System handle the regional-custody path, the sheriff or arresting agency can hold an arrest report, and the courts hold what happens after booking. The home page brings those official routes, basic search steps, and written-request options together. It never publishes a gallery of booking photos.
Resources Available Here
These pages are organized around the difference between a live custody result, a booking file, and a court disposition.
- The county-wide official search, daily admissions, records-request, photo-policy, and court path.
- Petersburg and Bayard pages that explain the local police contact and PHRJ connection.
- A sheriff-notice and magistrate-court route for a possible warrant, without claiming an unverified public list.
- Local news context and the West Virginia records and expungement routes.
What We Cannot Do
This is a private reference site. It is not connected to a West Virginia government agency, Grant County Sheriff’s Department, PHRJ, WVDCR, or a court. It cannot release, hold, or transfer a person; post bond; arrange visits; send funds; give legal advice; or guarantee that agency contact details remain current.
Only the originating office can confirm current custody, a charge, a release, or a public-record response. Booking allegations are not convictions.
Search Partners
Some pages contain search tools run by independent providers. Those providers set their own terms, pricing, and results. If a visitor chooses a paid product after using such a tool, this site may receive a referral fee that supports its operation. We do not control the provider’s result set or charges.
